<p>June Elizabeth Sauls Nash Green, 86, wife of the late Donald McCain Green, died Friday, November 27, 2020, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.<br /> <br /> June was diagnosed with colon cancer July 15, 2020, she did not respond to medications and was admitted to home hospice on November 6th. In November, she fell and broke her hip, she had a successful surgery performed on November 7th, but declined rapidly due to cancer. June was then transferred to Rainey Hospice House on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Due to intense pain, she was sedated and succumbed to her illness at 9:09 p.m. She was surrounded by her family, but because of COVID 19, only one person could stay at night, a niece was with her at the time of death. She fought a tough battle, but now is pain free and with a new whole body. We thank you, Lord, for taking care of her. She&rsquo;s in your hands now.<br /> <br /> Born in Greenville, SC, on February 28, 1934, was the daughter of the late Clarendon Deal Sauls and Annie Elizabeth Hendrix Sauls Oliver.<br /> <br /> June was a 1952 graduate of Welcome High School and was currently serving as &ldquo;unelected secretary&rdquo; of her class reunion committee, which was meeting for a luncheon each month until Covid 19 stopped them from getting together. She enjoyed seeing them each month.There were only 42 in her graduating class, and they were a close group of friends. During her high school years, she played on the varsity basketball team from the time she was in the eighth grade. After graduating, June played Textile ball 12 years for Brandon Mills. She received numerous awards during her basketball career. Among them were &ldquo;All Southern Award&quot; and &quot;All Textile All Star.&quot; She worked for Abney Mills Brandon plant for 20 plus years. She retired from Michelin in 1993 after 18 years of service. June was a faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was a member of the church choir, The Ruth Circle, and the Frances Vaughn Sunday School Class. She also worked each week in the Food Pantry.<br /> <br /> She is survived by sons, Rodney Dale Nash (Susan) of Belton, Dean Bruce Nash (Victoria) of Easley; step-son, Michael Green (Sue) of Dacusville; grandson, Jason Nash (Candie) of Liberty; granddaughters, Joye Nash Latham (Derek) of Easley, Deanne Nash Lindley(Mardy) of Greenville; step-grandsons, Jason Mitchell and Scott Green (Tracy); step-granddaughters, Jessica Mitchell and Kimberly Lee (David); great-grandchildren, Austin Nash, Zachery Nash, Maci Nash, Jaci Nash, Diesel Nash, Kelton Nash, Andrew Latham, Blaise Latham, Dalton McDowell, Kaylin McDowell, Aubree Lindley; step-great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Chalon, James, Alexandria, Jessica and Storie; great-great-grandchildren, Jaxtyn and Kason and one on the way; brothers, C. Rodney Sauls (Jeanne) of Liberty, James W. Sauls (Betty) of Fountain Inn; sister and care giver, Carol Ann Sauls Chester (LaMarr); many nephews and nieces, Steve, Sherri, Brad, Jennifer, Jamie, Darla, Chris and Carol Leigh; special cousins, Shirley Mitchell and Nancy Eades; two sisters-in-law, Joan G. Posey and Gail G .Foster (Gene).<br /> <br /> In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Bruce Nash and step-father, Joe B Oliver.<br /> <br /> The family would like to thank the Rainey Hospice House for taking such good care of her.<br /> <br /> Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 2700 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611.<br /> <br /> The visitation will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
