Annie Sue Shelton was born on March 5, 1943, in Arkansas to Martha and Alex Dixon. She married Jesse B Shelton and of this union, they raised five sons. Annie departed this life on Saturday, November 21, 2020. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Strong Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse B Shelton; her son, Eric Shelton; her grandson Jerrodney Shelton, her father, Alex Dixon and her mother, Martha Dixon; her brothers, Clarence Lee Dixon and Edward Charles Dixon; and her sister, Peggy Ruth Dixon Modica.

Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. Annie was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She went out of her way to make you feel at home and would never let you go without something to eat. She loved her grandchildren, she didn’t have any biological daughters but she made up for it with her granddaughters, that she took great pride in spoiling, 

She leaves to cherish her memories; four sons, Leroy Shelton (Robin), of El Dorado, Tony Shelton (Daisy), of El Dorado Patrick Shelton (Latonya), of Crossett and Kerry D Shelton Sr, (Curitha), of El Dorado; four brothers, Sylvester Dixon, Wash Dixon, Davis Dixon (Dorothy Dixon) and Alex Dixon (Burnita); 22 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Dec 2, 2020, at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Strong, AR.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020, from 11 until 7 at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial of Crossett, AR.
