Velta Mae Stewart Smith, age 84, born in Stockton, AL and a resident of White House Fork died Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Thomas Hospital. She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Baldwin County Board of Education.
She is survived by a son, Jeff (Robin) Smith of White House Fork; a daughter, Arlene (Brent) Bateman of Slidell, LA; six grandchildren, Angela (Chris) Brown, Clenon (Jill) Williams, Kimberly Smith, Crystal (Heath) Lokey, Jennifer Bateman and Blaine Bateman; eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Frank Smith; her parents, Joe E. and Annie Bell Taylor Stewart and a sister, Helen Stewart.
Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery with Reverend Clark Beiler and Reverend Fred Stallworth officiating.
Pallbearers will be Clenon Williams, Blaine Bateman, Heath Lokey, Billy Weekley, Jessie Peacock and Lydell Johnson.
