Beatriz Araiza Sandoval

<p>Beatriz Araiza Sandoval, age 66, passed away surrounded by loved ones at Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick Washington on November 26, 2020. After a long-fought battle with bone cancer, Beatriz gained her wings and joined her husband and her loved ones in heaven. Beatriz was born in La Huerta, Jalisco Mexico and was married to Agustin Barajas Sandoval. She is survived by her children, Evelia Sandoval, Norma I. Sandoval, Agustin Sandoval Jr, Maricela Sandoval, Fidel Sandoval (Anahi Sandoval), four grandchildren and grandbaby #5 due January 2021, five sisters and three brothers.</p> <p>After many years of working in agriculture, she was injured and became a full-time homemaker and caretaker to her family. It was then that Beatriz used her talents and skills to serve her community.</p> <p>Beatriz was the heart and soul of her family. She was an avid cook, crafter, gardener, and she loved to sing. Beatriz was strong in her Catholic faith and enjoyed going to mass, reading the Bible, and reciting the rosary. Beatriz would sing beautiful hymns and would pray for all of those in need. Beatriz enjoyed serving the Lord by serving others. &nbsp;</p> <p>Beatriz had a table that was endless and believed in making room for everyone. She had a huge heart; her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Those who knew Beatriz knew her as kind, generous, nurturing, caring, and a servant to God and her community. All her children and grandchildren have followed in that example. Beatriz is also survived by, nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, comadres, compadres, and friends- who she loved dearly.&nbsp;</p> <p>Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with recitation of Holy Rosary at 6:30 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 12:30 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prosser, WA with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
