Joan Carolyn Clark

Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home announces the death of Joan Clark, age 76, of Appleton, MN, who passed away on November 30, 2020, at her home.

Memorial services for Joan will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home Chapel in Milbank. Pastor Don McKee will officiate, and burial will take place at a later date. Joan's family will be hosting a gathering for friends and family at the Milbank Community Center beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings of up to 250 people. The use of face masks by attendees is required, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean. For those who prefer or require continued precautions, webcasting and/or livestreaming is available in most situations.

Joan Carolyn Clark was born on March 23, 1944, in Montevideo, MN, to Oliver and Helen (Dooley) Haugerud.

On August 5, 1976, Joan was united with Gerald Lee Clark in Watertown, SD. Joan worked many years caring for others as a certified nursing assistant. She finally hung up her scrubs and retired in 2014, at the age of 70.

Surviving Joan are her children: Ronda Dietz of Bismarck, ND; Benjamin (Deidra) Jenkins of Orofino, ID; and Ira (Tricia) Jenkins of Appleton, MN; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings: Gertrude (August) Faber of Lake Lillian, MN; Orvin Haugerud of Clarkfield, MN; Esther (Harlan) Lalim of Montevideo, MN; Dorothy Tollakson of Odessa, MN; and Darrel (Ruth) Haugerud of Watertown, SD.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; son, James Clark; daughter, Martha Clark-Schoenwetter; and her parents.
