Willie James Larkin, Sr.

<p>Willie James Larkin Sr. was born on July 4, 1935 to the late T.J. and Anna Larkin in Cuba, Alabama.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cuba, Alabama.&nbsp;</p> <p>He attended Kinderbush High School in Cuba, Alabama and completed his schooling after relocating to Cincinnati.&nbsp; While attending night school, he secured employment at Heekin Can.&nbsp; He worked there for 38 years before retiring.&nbsp;</p> <p>Willie met his lovely wife Fannie and they married in 1954.&nbsp; Through this union they were blessed with 5 children.</p> <p>During his older teen years, he enjoyed boxing and running races against others.&nbsp; In his adult years he enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, boating and gardening.&nbsp; He loved talking about and receiving compliments about his gardens.&nbsp; He was the proud owner of Ebony&rsquo;s Tomahawk and Fat Willie, his prized racing horses.&nbsp; He loved attending his church and was a member of Phillips Chapel CME where he was a member of the Deacon board.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Mae Larkin, two sons, Floyd and Michael Larkin, daughter, Karen McGee, one brother, Johnny Larkin and sister Sallie Anderson.</p> <p>He departed his life on November 21, 2020 in Cincinnati, Ohio.&nbsp;</p> <p>He leaves to cherish his memory; two sons, Duane and Willie James (Jim) Larkin, 1 daughter LuVonne Larkin, 4 granddaughters; Shawna Talley, Ebony Larkin, Sherrell (Jesse) Kuhns and Sharron Larkin, 9 great grandchildren; Keila, Sahkai, Schon, Shaylin, Donte, Shalom, Graziana, Messiah and Ahava, 3 brothers; Archie Larkin, Dan Larkin Sr., Leroy White, 4 sisters; Penny Brown, Shirley Larkin, Lynnette Rogers, Clemmie (Horace) Payne, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends. Willie James Larkin Sr. was born on July 4, 1935 to the late T.J. and Anna Larkin in Cuba, Alabama.
