Pamela Jane Hill Hallissey, age 51, of Naperville, IL, passed on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Edward Hospital in Naperville following a brave battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her husband, daughters, and parents at the time of her passing. Pamela was born June 23, 1969 in Sterling IL, she graduated from Sterling High School (‘87) and Illinois State University (‘91) where she was active in the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and the Sweetheart of Sigma Chi. She met her husband, Tom Hallissey at ISU in 1988 and were married on June 8, 1996. Pamela began her career as a registered dietitian before finding her passion raising her three beautiful girls and as the founder of the blog, DIYVIBES.net. As a mother, she was loving, supportive, crafty, goofy and a guiding light to Ashley, Keira and Kylie. She loved to travel the world and applied her own special touch to everything she did. Pamela is survived by her husband Tom, her daughters, Ashley, Keira and Kylie, her parents, Robert and Nancy (nee Wessels) Hill, sister, Stacey (Rod) Harrington, brother, Rob (Amanda) Hill, her mother-in-law, Dorothy Hallissey and sisters-in-laws, Mary (Garrett) Plepel, Kathy (Pat) Whalen, Patty Hallissey and Jackie (Jeff) Strazis. Pamela will have an eternal seat at Dinner Club with our dearest friends. In lieu of flowers or other tributes in her memory, Pamela's family has set up a foundation through Go Fund Me to collect and channel funds to purchase wigs for other cancer patients without the resources to buy their own. Current health guidelines state that no more than 10 individuals at a time may pay their respects to the family and guests are required to wear masks and follow social distancing procedures. A private celebration of Pamela’s life will be held on Monday, December 7th at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Naperville.
