Delbert Wayne Livesay, age 87, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 1:42 P.M. on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. He was born on March 11, 1933 in Hoyleton, Illinois, the son of Homer L. and Lena L. (Murray) Livesay.  He married Vera Louise George and they later divorced

Mr. Livesay is survived by his daughter, Terri Livesay Huttes and husband Randy of Port Charlotte, Florida; son, Chris Livesay and wife Trish of Centralia, Illinois; grandchildren, Nick Lyons and wife Nicole of Centralia, Illinois, Brent Livesay and wife Wendy of Dix, Illinois, Megan Barton and husband Jake of Walnut Hill, Illinois, Matt Shaw of Houston, Texas and Josh Shaw of Houston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jamesyn Lyons, Adelle Lyons, Keatin Lyons, Rhett Livesay and Aiden Barton; girlfriend, Mary Hetzel of Huey, Illinois; half-sister, Josephine Myers of Centralia, Illinoi, and his furry friend, Gizmo.

Mr. Livesay was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Lena Livesay; son, Mike Livesay; brother, Harlen Livesay; sisters, Doris Maye Croan and Velda Boyer and brother-in-law, Melvin DeWayne Croan.     

Mr. Livesay was of the Protestant faith.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country.  He was a 32 Degree Mason with the Southern Illinois Valley of the Centralia Masonic Lodge 201 and a member of the Ainad Shriners Temple in East Saint Louis, Illinois.  He was a member of the Centralia Moose Lodge 1219 and Centralia Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge 493.  Mr. Livesay truly enjoyed hunting.  He loved mowing and working in his yard.  He was a socializer, who enjoyed people and never met a stranger.  He liked being with his buddies and meeting with his friends at Hardee’s in Centralia, Illinois. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Mr. Livesay retired in 2007 as the owner and operator of The Hide Out Bar in Junction City, Illinois.  Earlier in life, he retired in 1998 as a truck driver from McClean Trucking in Mount Vernon, Illinois and was owner and operator of Centralia Produce in Centralia, Illinois for 10 years. He lived most of his life in Centralia, Illinois.

Graveside Services for Mr. Delbert W. Livesay will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Richview Cemetery in Richview, Illinois.  Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Saturday. Military Honors accorded by the Centralia American Legion Post 446 and V.F.W.
