Robert S. Milone Obituary

Robert Salvatore Milone, 62, of Gloucester, passed away at home, suddenly, in the presence of his loving wife, Roberta, on Thanksgiving morning. They had a beautiful marriage of 24 years. His heart was so big and genuine. He helped raise Roberta’s two granddaughters, Taylor and Emily. He was the son of the late Vincenzo and Ann Mary Milone. Bob graduated from, GHS with the class of 1976 and entered and completed a tour of duty with the United States Marine Corps. He was proud to serve his country. To his last day he lived by the words, “Semper Fidelis” (Always faithful) and “Not as mean, not as lean, but still a Marine!” Following the Marines, he completed a program at Franklin Institute with a certification in graphic design. His occupation was a Union Carpenter. Bob was a lover of animals and was a member of the ASPCA. He and Roberta adopted three dogs from the shelter and gave them the love they desperately deserved. Bob enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, parents and siblings. He is lovingly survived by his wife Roberta “Bobbi” Milone. In addition, his brother Stephen J. Milone and his wife Wendy of MD; James Joseph of Gloucester, Nancy Ann Townsend and her husband Edward of PA and Anthony Peter and his wife Any (Reise) Milone of PA; his granddaughters Taylor and Emily Cinseruli of Gloucester; his nieces and nephews, Kristen Shull (Milone), Michael Milone, Lucy Collazo (Watson), Jenna Bunn (Watson), Edward Townsend II and his brother Nicholas Townsend, Reis (Maxwell) Milone and Madison Milone; Aunt Mary Russo, Aunt Lorraine and Uncle “Roy” Rosario Milone, Uncle Tony and Aunt Carol Frontiero, all of Gloucester; his Great Uncle Samuel “Sonny” Aiello of Peabody and godparents Jack and Kathy Quinn of Gloucester. He also leaves many grand nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his parents, Bob was predeceased by his loving niece, Laura Watson of MD. Due to concerns with the Covid 19 virus, there will be a short visiting hour on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 11 am to 12 pm in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester. Family and friends are cordially invited. Face coverings and social distancing is required. A service will be held privately.
