Ruth Elaine (Hornschuch) Williams,  82

 

Ruth Elaine Williams (né Hornschuch , 82, a  twenty-two year resident of Lake Elsinore, Calif., died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, from the ravages of Parkinson’s disease at the California Loving Care Home in Lake Elsinore where she had been a resident for 2½ years.  Before moving to Lake Elsinore, she and her family lived in Monrovia, Calif., for thirty-three years. 

Born in San Diego on April 19, 1938 , Ruth was the daughter of the late LeRoy Sylvester and Edna Mae (Huckaby) Hornschuch of Salem, Oregon.  Ruth attended Oregon State College (now University) and was primarily a homemaker.  She was a proud member of the Daughters of Oregon Pioneers, descending from a Virginia pioneer who came West on the Oregon Trail in 1852.  Ruth’s paternal lineage has been traced back to Heidersbach, (E.) Germany, in 1579, a town Ruth visited in 2006.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Alan Lee Williams; they were married in Salem on June 14, 1958.  They have two sons:  Alan Lee (Kimberly) Williams II of Elk Grove, Calif.;  Michael James (Barbara) Williams of Redwood City, Calif.;  and daughter Linda Mae (Marlin) Brandt, Jr., of Riverside.  Grandchildren are Rachel Anne (Honorio) DeLoza of Jurupa Valley, and Raymond Alan (Emma) Brandt of Bremerton, Wash.);  one great-grandchild Bae Honorio DeLoza; a brother Alvin E. Hornschuch of Tualatin, Ore.; three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased only by her parents and in-laws.

Final resting place will be in the Menifee Valley Memorial Park in Sun City.   Graveside services will be private.
