Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Wife and friend to all, Marian Priel Blom was reunited with her eternal companion on November 28, 2020, after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. Marian, “Priel” to most that knew her, was born June 13, 1935, to Samuel & Marian Fletcher in Preston, ID. When she was just 14, her father moved the family to Leadore, ID where he accepted a teaching job. While she attended school in Leadore, she met the love of her life, Fred Richard Blom. They married on March 3, 1952 in Salmon, ID. They made their home in Shelley, ID where they welcomed their 5 children, Crystal, Elaine, Sam, Ben and Max. Priel worked for RT French and later Pillsbury, for her entire career, to which she retired from. Upon retirement, she and Fred returned to their roots in Leadore to live out their final years with their best friends, Bedford & Lavinna Stroud to enjoy the fruits of their labors. She was a friend to all, mother figure to many, and grandma to all others. She loved to crochet, quilt, garden, and take rides in the spring time through Swan Basin to see all the spring flowers. Above all, she enjoyed a house full of family & friends, welcomed every card game, board game, puzzle or dominos. She enjoyed time in the kitchen with all the grandkids, sun rises & sunsets on their porch, and always had a pot of coffee on or a drink to pour, for anyone interested. She touched the hearts of all with her kindness & incredibly quick wit, to which most can attest. She will be missed by many & forever loved by her family. We love you Grandma! She is survived by her children; Elaine Blom of Shelley, Sam Blom of Leadore, Ben Blom of Leadore, & Max (Dodi) Blom of Rigby, 10 Grandchildren & 18 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred of 66 years & Daughter Crystal (Robert “Bob”) Foster. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home. *
