Mickey Owen

Mickey Owen, age 75, of Paducah, KY passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Southgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Owen was born in Paducah on June 21, 1945 to the late Grover C. and Ruth Owen. He was married to the late Wanda Sue Owen. Mickey attended Paducah Community College and completed professional selling courses through the Dale Carnegie Institute and Xerox. He worked as the local representative for the National Federation of Independent Business and was honored by being inducted into the NFIB’s Hall of Fame. He was a long time member of Spring Creek Church of Christ. Mickey enjoyed square dancing and clogging, riding horses and politics. He will be remembered as a good Christian man who was strong willed yet very empathetic. Mickey is survived by two sons, Dean Owen (Jean) of Paducah and Jason Owen of Louisville; one sister, Joyce Ahlemeyer (Eric) of Paducah; and three brothers, Grover Owen (Mary Jo) of Paducah, Larry Owen (Velvie) of Paducah, and Mike Owen (Pat) of Manchester, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Sue Wilcox Owen; his son, Randy Owen; his parents; two sisters, Pat Morgan and Ruth Bacchus; and one brother, Bill Owen. In compliance with health and public safety directives, the funeral arrangements for Mr. Mickey Owen will be private. The Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
