Theresa M. Cyr

Naugatuck, CT Theresa M. Cyr, 90, widow of Aubert J. Cyr, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2020 at home, surrounded by loving family. Theresa was born on March 4, 1930 in Canada, daughter of the late Alfred and Marie (Nadeau) Bonenfant and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life and was a parishioner of St. Vincent Ferrer Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, shopping (especially on QVC) and playing cards; but most of all, she loved her family. Theresa is survived by seven sons; Leo Cyr, Clarence Cyr (Judy), Nelson Cyr (Eleanor), Patrick Cyr (Laura), Fred Cyr (Meg), Yvon Cyr and Robert Cyr; three daughters; Bernadette Candee (Jeff), Sylvia Torneo (Joseph) and Lisa Cyr; her brother, Albert Bonenfant of Oakville, CT and several brothers and sister in Canada; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Those attending are asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
