Terry Leon Kropp of Quapaw, OK passed from this life Friday, November 27, 2020 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 74. Terry was born August 20, 1946 in Miami, OK to Roland and Marjorie "Sue" (Captain) Kropp. He was a lifetime Quapaw area resident and a graduate of Quapaw High School Class of 1964. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Terry was a rural mail carrier and a rancher. He was a member of the Quapaw Nation and the Eastern Shawnee Tribe. He was a longtime member of Spring River Indian Baptist Church and the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents. Terry is survived by his wife Grace Kropp of the home, 1 son, Chad Kropp and his wife Mary of Claremore, OK, 1 daughter, Marilyn Kropp of Quapaw, OK, 1 brother, Larry Kropp of Quapaw, OK and 2 grandchildren, Brady Kropp and Hannah Kropp. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Quapaw Tribal Building southeast of Quapaw, OK with Rev. Geoff Buffalo officiating. Interment will follow in Newman Cemetery east of Quapaw, OK. Brady Kropp, Mickey Helms, Jerrod Helms, Ben Cooper, David Kropp and Clay Imbeau will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie "Budge" Stasell, John Stasell, Jess Stasell, Darrel Sullivan, Bob Kropp, Don Kropp and Ron Radford. Military rites will be conducted by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team and Native American rites will be conducted by Rannie McWaters and Russ Garber. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. The family requests those attending the visitation and/or the funeral service please wear a mask. Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans or Quapaw First Baptist Church Food Pantry.
