Robert B. Hendricks, 86, of Apple Creek, went home to be with his Savior on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020 at Wooster Community Hospital. His passing was unexpected.
He was born in Cleveland on Jan. 28, 1934 to the late William and Hazel Ellen (Roser) Hendricks and was a 1953 graduate of West Tech High School. On Sept. he married the former Alice Girard and she survives. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 - 1957 and retired from Euclid Spiral Paper Tube in Apple Creek. Bob was a faithful member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Apple Creek where he sang in the choir and was a member of the Apple Creek Historical Society. He loved animals and being in nature and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Alice; children, Daniel Hendricks of Apple Creek, Laurie (Jeff) Hendershot of Groton, MA and Lisa (Paul) Bischoff of Apple Creek; six grandchildren, Aaron, David and Jesse Hendershot and Hallie, Macy and Lexi Bischoff; a sister, Carol Geiger of Seven Hills, OH and two nephews, Gary (Cheryl) Geiger and their two sons, Nathan and Jason and Bryan Geiger.
Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Apple Creek with Pastor Dale Smith officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services. Interment will be held at Apple Creek Cemetery at a later date.
