Alexander Tripoli Obituary

Alex J. Tripoli, 81, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 27th at Bridgeport Hospital.

Born on December 31, 1938 (also at Bridgeport Hospital), he was the son of the late Alexander and Emma (Barate) Tripoli.  Alex was a lifelong Fairfield resident and a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School.  He attended the University of Bridgeport and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was employed by IBM for 30 years.

Alex is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia G. (Fazekas) Tripoli, his daughter and son-in-law, Trudy and Thomas Burke of Towson Maryland, his grandchildren Jack and Caillin Burke, and his brother Roger Tripoli (Cyndie Ginter).   He was predeceased by his son, Timothy Alan Tripoli, in 1991.

Alex was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield.  He was also a member of the Masonic Order and of Fidelity - St.John's Lodge #3 where he served as Past Worshipful Master and was also an Assistant District Deputy.

Besides spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren), he enjoyed golf, cooking, working out in his yard, going to the beach, fishing, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Due to COVID-19, interment will be private.   A "celebration of life" memorial will be held at a later date for friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org) or the charity of your choice in Alex's memory.
