Harold Kasowski Obituary

Harold Kasowski, age 89, of Fargo, formerly Buffalo, ND, died Friday, November 27, 2020 at Riverview Place, Fargo.

Harold Lloyd Kasowski was born December 18, 1930 at Buffalo, ND, the son of Raymond and Lovina (Roden) Kasowski.  He grew up on a farm near Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1948.  Harold began working on the family farm following graduation.

On July 9, 1953, Harold and Marian Anna Von Bank were united in marriage at St. Thomas Catholic Church at Buffalo.   They lived on the family farm for a short time prior to moving to their own farm.    Harold farmed until retiring in 1995.   They moved into Buffalo in 2006, and had recently moved to Riverview Place, Fargo.

Without using words, Harold exhibited honesty, loyalty, humility, kindness and an unfailing faith in God.  Some of Harold’s favorite times were coffee with his brothers on a rainy day, stopping by his sister’s for a caramel roll and attending the countless events of his kids and grandkids.  However, Harold loved being home with Marian the best.

Harold enjoyed bowling and playing Pinochle and was a member of Friendship Card Club at Buffalo for 40+ years.   He loved his community and had served on the Cass County Rural Water Board, Buffalo Township Board, Buffalo Cemetery Board, Buffalo School Board, Red River Valley Fair Board and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Buffalo.

He is survived by his wife Marian; 5 children: Dale (Mary) Kasowski, Bismarck, ND, Buck (Carrie) Kasowski, Grand Forks, ND, Michael (Gail) Kasowski, Fisher, MN, Nancy (Allen) Weisbeck, Bismarck, ND, Donna Kasowski, Good Year, AZ; a daughter-in-law Marcia Kasowski, Hartford, SD; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Frances Larson, West Fargo, Dorothy Johnson, Fargo, James Kasowski, Dilworth, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Lovina, brothers Earl, Robert, and Arthur Kasowski; his son David Kasowski, grandchildren Nichole Waters and John Kasowski; and great-grandchild Maelee Kasowski.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be given to the charity of your choice.
