Joseph Michael Piercey Irishtown, NL July 23, 1940 – November 26, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Michael Piercey announce his passing on Thursday, November 20, 2020 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 53 years Loretta (nee Kennedy); children: Sterling Piercey, Wade Piercey and Dean (Avril) Piercey; grandson Jeffrey Piercey; sister Mary (Joseph) Mishaud; brothers: David Piercey and Terry Anderson; step-brother William (Theresa) Anderson; brothers-in-law: Martin Kennedy, David Kennedy, Kevin (Sandra) Kennedy, Richard (Wilhelmina) Kennedy and Roland Kennedy; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Mosher and Nora Hall; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Timothy and Blanche Piercey. Cremation has taken place, a private family funeral service will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday, November 30 with Father James officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.Obituary
