<p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;">John &ldquo;Leroy&rdquo; Jones, 76, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, at his home.&nbsp; He was born on August 21, 1944, in Strong, Arkansas, to his parents, Royal S. Jones Sr. and Chlorene Calloway Jones.&nbsp; He was a 1963 graduate of Crossett High School and a member of the West Crossett Missionary Baptist Church.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;">For 35 years, Leroy worked for Georgia Pacific. &nbsp;He worked in tissue converting and the storeroom.&nbsp;&nbsp; He was there since the mill opened until his retirement.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;">He was a farmer who enjoyed growing vegetables and raising his goats and chickens.&nbsp; He owned a few horses and a donkey and took great pride in riding in the rodeo parades with his grandchildren in his covered wagon.&nbsp; He also loved to fish, hunt, and work on his 1926 T-model truck.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;">He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Florence Evelyn Bowden, and one brother, Willie Joe Jones.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Leroy is survived by his wife of eight years, Sandra Jones of Crossett; one daughter, Pam Foust of West Monroe, LA; one stepdaughter, Belinda Holland and husband, Dennis, of Crossett; one stepson, Chris Lee and wife, Amy, of Bismark, AR; one sister, Christelle Ricketts, of Crossett; one brother, Royal &ldquo;R.S.&rdquo; Jones, JR and wife, Beverly, also of Crossett; along with two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:18px;">A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 28, at Pinewood Memorial Park in Crossett, with Bro. Ricky Pack and Bro. John “Leroy” Jones, 76, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, at his home.  He was born on August 21, 1944, in Strong, Arkansas, to his parents, Royal S.
