Lucile Lasterlee Poppe

Lucile L. Poppe, 92, of Pensacola, Florida, peacefully entered into glory on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Lucile was born January 24, 1928, in Georgetown, Texas. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and helping others. She was involved in many ministries in the churches where she was a member. Most recently Lucile was an active member of the prayer shawl ministry at Grace Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Clarence; their daughter, Peggy; brother, Alfred; and two sisters, RoseLee and Betty. Lucile is survived by one daughter, Edith (Craig); two sons, Lester (Barbara) and Leonard (Karin); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Kathy. The family would like to thank their Grace family; the doctors, nurses, and staff of Sacred Heart Covenant Hospice and Carpenters Creek Assisted Living, and all the friends Lucile made in the years she resided there. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Pastor Timothy Sowers and Pastor Bernhard Huesmann officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 6601 North 9th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32504.
