Antonino Citrano Of Prospect Heights Antonino Citrano was born on April 1, 1928 in Ciminna, Sicily, Italy to Michele and Vincenza (nee Ciringione) Citrano. He died Wednesday, November 25, 2020 in Prospect Hts. Mr. Citrano worked as a Candy Maker for Brachs Candies in Chicago for 22 years. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Antonino was a member of S.S. Crocifisso and San Giovanni Bosco Di Ciminna. Antonino's passion was gardening, he would spend days outside planting and cultivating. His internal reward was sharing the fruit of his labor with his friends and family . He had a special ability to see plain dirt and bring it to life . He also enjoyed playing Bocce ball with his brothers and his friends. Above all things, his true passion was spending time and breaking bread with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was loved and cherished by all. Antonino is survived by his spouse of 62 years Domenica (nee Alesi) children, Michael Citrano and Filippo (Giovanna) Citrano; grandchildren, Antonino Citrano, Antonino Citrano, Alessandro Citrano and Domenico Citrano; brother, Onofrio “Pietro”, (Maria) Citrano; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Salvatore (Maria “Concetta”) Citrano, Concetta (Vincenzo) Schinaldi and Vito (Anna) Citrano. Visitation Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Entombment is private.
