Ralph P. Cortese Sr., 86, of Bloomfield, passed away Friday November 27, 2020. Ralph served in the United States Navy. He co-owned and operated the Paperback Shop in Newark with his brother in law Anthony "Lefty" Roberto. Before his retirement, Ralph was a Toll Supervisor for the Garden State Parkway. Ralph is survived by his wife Constance (nee Sturchio), son Ralph Jr. and his wife Theresa, daughter Cynthia Echevarria and her husband Juan, daughter Michele Dillon and her husband Douglas, brother Michael, sister Lucille Roberto, brother in law Anthony Sturchio, grandchildren Michael, Nicholas, Sarah Cortese, Samantha, Rachel, Rebecca Echevarria, Connor and Brendan Dillon. He was predeceased by his parents Phillip and Adeline and his sister Genevieve Ragucci.
