PRECIOSA CHARTRAND It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Preciosa Acala Chartrtand peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, at the age of 82 years. Resident of Winnipeg she is survived by her husband Gerald, son Mario (Joanne) and extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, father Pedro Acala, mother Olympia Songalia, brother Loperio (Angelina) and long since passed relatives. Surviving to mourn her loss niece Elsa (Rodolfo) and her children Rodney, Beatrice, Isabel, Rodeleen and many more relatives in Canada, United States and Philippines. Born on February 27, 1938 at Manila, The Philippine Islands where she was raised. At the age of 31 she applied to Canada by the International Garment Workers. Preciosa arrived in Manitoba in July 1969. She married Gerald in Manila on December 24, 1971. She was employed throughout sportswares Tanjay and Richlu, she volunteered at Holy Cross Parish Church. Precy enjoyed her retirement at home, she enjoyed playing music, singing songs and playing the guitar and piano. Her hobbies were puzzles, color drawing and arts and she loved her many flowers. A private family service will be held with interment in the St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery, Inwood, MB.
