Stanley J. Horn, age 67, of Basehor, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Private Services are planned with burial in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Stan was born on September 8, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas to Ernie & Josephine (Klimek) Horn. He grew up in Kansas City, KS. graduating from Bishop Ward High School in the Class of 1972. He married Karen (Roberts) on September 24, 1976 and together they made their home in Kansas City, KS and later Basehor, where they raised their three children. In 1978, Stan began his career in Insurance and he continued in insurance until his retirement in 2000. Stan was a “wheeler-dealer” always buying and selling Cars and ATV’s. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Horn and sister Donna Gordon. Survivors include his three children: Jeff Horn and wife Mindy of Shawnee, KS., Jackie Forssberg and husband Brandon, Michael Horn and wife Erin of Rye, New Hampshire. Six grandchildren: Jaxson & Gage Horn, Johanna, Elin, Ada & Samuel Forssberg. His ex-wife Karen Horn and his trusted companion “Maggie” his beloved dog. As well as extended family and friends.
