Michael Belsky, Sr.

Michael J. Belsky, Sr., 73, of Kewanee, died Friday, November 27, 2020 at his home. Michael was born November 28, 1946 in Kewanee, the son of Benjamin and Margaret (Pauwels) Belsky. Michael attended Kewanee High School, he graduated with the class of 1964. Michael married Jane Michalik, they later divorced. Michael is survived by two sons, Brian (Amy) Belsky, Kewanee, Michael (Elizabeth) Belsky, Jr., Rock Island; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Ella Belsky. Michael was preceded in death by his parents. Michael served his country in the US Air Force. Michael worked for Verizon for many years. He was an avid Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan. He was a member of the Legend’s Pool Team. Michael enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Private family services will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Father Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Military rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
