Addice, Michael M., age 87, of Hawthorne, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Born in Paterson, Michael had grown up there before moving to Hawthorne where he had lived for over 60 years. A proud U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War, Michael later became the owner of Passaic Valley Construction. He retired as a custodian from Bergen County Technical School. Michael was the husband of Elaine (nee McGillick) Addice. Father of Michael Addice and his wife Ilene of Harleysville, PA, and the late Michele Alonzo (2018) and husband Paul. Beloved grandfather to Nicolette, Michael, Brianna, Daniel, and Rebecca and great grandfather of Karrah and Rosalyn. He was one of eight children, having three brothers and four sisters. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne, on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00pm. A funeral service and burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa will take place privately.
