Marcia VanGennip Obituary

Marcia VanGennip age 54 of Marble Hill, MO, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 25th, 2020 at her residence in Marble Hill, MO. She was born May 4th, 1966 in Poplar Bluff, MO, daughter of James Allen Stephens and Carolyn (Stilts) Stephens. She and Anthony (Tony) L. VanGennip were united in marriage on October 11, 1986 and he survives her in Marble Hill. Marcia was a farmer and homemaker. She enjoyed watching the crops grow each year and she loved spending her time on her front porch visiting with neighbors and friends. She had many honorary children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly and was very proud of. You could always find her on the sidelines cheering on her beloved Wildcats, Bulldogs, and Bobcats. She touched many people in her lifetime. Survivors include; her husband Tony VanGennip, sister Sandra (Jon Paul) Brown of McGee, MO, several aunts and uncles, many self-adopted children, and many friends including Scott VanGennip, Betty Lewis, Anthony Seabaugh, and her fix-it man Bucky Burnett . She was proceeded in death by her father James and walked through heavens gates with her mother Carolyn by her side. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 1st at St. Anthony’s Parish hall in Glennon, MO from 4:00PM – 8:00PM. Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at 10:00AM with Father Coon officiating. In Lieu of flowers to please donate to a local school’s athletic and/ or scholastic programs.
