Piedmont - James Roy Blackstone, 84, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James Orville and Ella Mae Pittman Blackstone. A U.S. Army veteran, he was an expert rifleman. He retired from Experimental Fabrics and was a member of Piedmont Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include, sisters, Betty Blackstone, Lillian McDonald, and Nina Satterfield; and brother, Donald Blackstone. He was predeceased by his first wife, Brenda Lollis Blackstone; sister, Joyce Pittman; and brother, Robert Blackstone. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 28, at White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service.
