Stephen K. Johnson SHREWSBURY- Stephen Kendall Johnson, 86 a life long resident of Shrewsbury died unexpectedly November 22, 2020 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 11, 1934 in Rutland the son of Holley and Nellie (Cutting) Johnson. Mr. Johnson enjoyed cutting and slitting wood, hunting, fishing and ridding his fourwheeler. He also enjoyed spending time at the shelter on the long trail maintaining the property, cooking food and visiting with the hikers. He had been employed as a farmer, logger, milk truck driver and for several years by Carris Reels. He also owned and operated a trash route for many years Survivors include a daughter Lori LaFountain -Morrell of North Clarendon, 2 sons Matthew Johnson of Rutland and Charles Johnson Sr of Shrewsbury, 2 sisters Susan K. Snelling and Mary L. Cleary both of Homosassa, Fl., 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Helene L. (Adamsen) Johnson in April and a brother Ralph E. Johnson in 1994. Services will be held at a later date.
