John Lewis Hollingsworth, 81, of Decatur, passed away 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Private family graveside services will be held in Hammond Cemetery. McMullin-Young Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements. John was born April 21, 1939 in Martinsville; the son of John Lewis Hollingsworth, Sr. and Edith Hollingsworth. He served in the United States Air Force. He married Drusilla Bolsen in August of 1963. John was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and the Decatur VFW Post #99 where he was a past Commander. John is survived by his wife, Drusilla of Decatur. He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings.
