Norman A. Wilke

Norman A. Wilke, age 75, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Norm was born in Milwaukee, WI, on May 16, 1945, to the late Leonard and Bernice (Nizolek) Wilke. He was married to Lois Mlodzik on April 4, 1980; she survives. Norm grew up in the Milwaukee area and was a graduate of Pulaski High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. After the military, Norm worked as a machinist for the City of Milwaukee Water Department for many years. Norm and his family spent many vacations and weekends in Tomahawk as a child. In 1982, he built his Northwoods home and happily retired to Tomahawk permanently in 2005. Norm was a talented woodworker, crafting furniture, cabinets, and wood carvings. He was a long-time dog lover who enjoyed fishing and gardening. Norm was always willing to share his time with friends and neighbors and lend a hand wherever needed. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Lois Wilke, of Tomahawk; his brother, Randy (Joyce) Wilke, of Crivitz, WI; his sister, Chris Millen, of Milwaukee; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Jim VerHalen. Norm is further survived by several nieces and nephews, and many close, loved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Bernice; his sisters, Janis Schultz and Nadine Piel; and his sister-in-law, Carol Kubacki. In accordance with Norman’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
