Shajuana Katrice Cordero, 36, of Bristol, passed away at home on November 20, 2020. Born on September 11, 1984 in Bristol, CT, she was a daughter of Veronica Brooks and the late Edwardo “Papo” Cordero of Bristol, CT. Shajuana is survived by her mother Veronica Brooks of Bristol, CT; a sister Sherina Durham of Bristol, CT; her maternal grandmother Dorothy Brooks of Bristol, CT; her paternal grandfather Casildo Cordero of Bristol, CT; five nieces and nephews Tatiana, Kason, Renee, Julian, and Eddy; a Godmother Mozelle Pat Walker; Godparents Mr. and Mrs. Michael Barnett; a Godson Nasir Walker-Jenkins and a host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. In addition to her father, Shajuana was predeceased by her brother Thaddeaus Singleton III, paternal grandmother Juana Marta Cordero, Maternal grandfather Frederick Brooks, Sr., and her Godfather Penny Walker. The funeral for Shajuana will be private. The burial in Forestville Cemetery will also be private. Public calling hours will be Tuesday, December 1, from 6-8pm at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Those that will be attending the calling hours will be required to have a face covering. Following social distancing rules are also highly recommended.
