Ivan Ardee Quick was born on August 24, 1935 at home in Girard Township, rural Henning, Minnesota. His parents were the late Herbert and Helen (Looker) Quick. Ivan graduated from Henning High School with the class of 1953. On June 25, 1955 Ivan was united in marriage with Ruby Chesborough at Trinity Lutheran Church in Henning, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children. They made their home in Akron, Ohio for a short time and returned to Girard Township where they raised their children, farmed and raised beef cattle. Ivan also drove milk truck, gravel truck, was a lineman for the phone company and worked construction. On December 24, 2001 Ruby passed away.

On May 10, 2003 Ivan was united in marriage with Dolores Fern Vee Jorgenson at Vining Lutheran Church in Vining, Minnesota. Ivan always enjoyed mowing with his John Deere tractor, trying to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeders, cooking and spending some winters on Pine Island, Florida.

On November 24, 2020 Ivan passed away at his home at 85 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Ivan in death were his wife, Ruby Quick; his parents, Herbert and Helen Quick; son, Cameron Quick; granddaughter, Ashley Quick; siblings: Mary Quick, Basil Quick, Duane Quick, Phoebe Bullene, and Gail Klimp.

Ivan is survived by his wife, Dolores Quick of Henning; daughters: Debi (Darren) Colombe of Florence, AZ; Nadine (Mike) Fraki of Baxter,MN; son: Todd(Shawn) Quick of Parkers Prairie, MN; step-sons: Dennis (Lauri) Jorgenson of Pelican Rapids, MN; Dale (Tina) Jorgenson of Kingman, AZ; step-daughter: Linda (Mikey Boe)Jorgenson of Maybank, TX; grandchildren: Jamie (Joe) Lindahl; Julie (Ryan) Barthelemy; Jen (Greg) Davis; Justin Colombe; Jess (Royce) Rayman; John (Steph) Fraki; Thomas Fraki; Brandon Quick; Dasan Quick; Dillon (Falecia) Quick; Logan Quick; step-grandchildren: Dylan (Mikayla) Jorgenson; Tanner (Steph) Jorgenson; Torrie Jorgenson; Zackery Jorgenson; Alex Jorgenson; Max Boe;18 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.
