Larry Keith Chamblee Obituary

Larry died on November 22, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Katrina S. Chamblee; brothers, Carl Ed Chamblee. Charles R. Chamblee (Rena), Gary D. Chamblee (Joan); his 2 daughters, Tracy E. Klein (Jason) and Tracey C. Talley (Tom); along with 6 grandchildren, Megan, Zach, Katie Jo, Elisabeth, Alex, and Sadie; and 2 great-granddaughters, Adrian and Stella Rae. Larry was a graduate of Phillips High School, University of Alabama in Business, and was awarded the first MBA issued by UAB in 1972 and then a Master's in Accounting in 1989. He served in the Air Force as a Captain for 4 years. He retired from Pro Assurance in 2006 as Vice President and Corporate Controller. His life was one of service. He served on numerous charitable boards including President of the ARC of Jefferson and Blount County and UAB National Alumni Society. Once retired, he remained in active service as Treasurer and then President of the Ono Island POA and Secretary/Treasurer of the Ono Island Fire Protection Board. Graveside services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Autism Society of America online. "ROLL TIDE ROLL!" says Larry.
