Joseph Allen Owens Madisonville, Kentucky Obituary

Joseph Allen Owens

Joseph Allen Owens, “Joe”, of White Plains died November 11th at the age of 66 most likely due to a combination of Biden winning the presidency and pure shock that his fellow American peers are once again choosing to hoard toilet paper instead of true essential items like food. Joe was a simple man. He was a man of few words known for telling you like it is (his version of course) and having little to no patience for stupidity. His calloused hands and oil stained fingernails were evidence of his lifetime of hard work as a mechanic. He recently retired from Superior Automotive in Nortonville. His hobbies included working the better half of his life remodeling and restoring a 1973, 32-foot, ocean vessel-houseboat he named The Tina Marie after his youngest daughter. Although the transformation is amazing and a true testament to his talents unfortunately, he never got to see her in the water. Joe loved to fish, collect and shoot guns, window shop at boat shows, gun shows, and antique shops. Regardless of his rugged appearance, occasional callous demeanor, cunning remarks, and pure stubbornness there is concrete proof that Joe was a loving and caring dad, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is reunited with those who passed before him which include, his daughter, Suzanne; his mother and father, Robert and Betty Owens; and his sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Alan Jacoby. Those left to cherish his memory include, his daughters Karen Owens of Boise, Idaho and Tina Owens of Canyon Lake, California; his grandchildren Alisha, Levi, Joseph & Jaxon; great grandchildren Jensen and Hayzden; sister Roz Irvin of White Plains, KY; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His family would also like to extend a helping hand and warn anyone with stock in the Anheuser-Bush company to SELL now because without Joe’s contributions to the company they are likely to plummet soon. Due to the pandemic, current services are being held in private; a celebration of life will be held when it is safe for the family to do so.
