Jerry Lee Gibbs III was born in Saint Louis, Missouri, was the middle out of three born to the union of Jerry Lee Gibbs Jr. and Estelita Gibbs. Jerry was preceded in death by his father Jerry Lee Gibbs Jr and his grandparents ~ Jerry & Frances Gibbs, and John Jones (Daddy John) & Mother In-Love ~ Dianne Douglas.

He received Christ at an early age and was baptized and a strong faithful believer of Jesus Christ our Lord. He attended and graduated from Mehlville High School and worked in the retail department until he could no longer work.

Jerry was a music lover and loved to share his talents with anyone who wanted to learn. A member of the Royalaires he was able to share his love through music from snares to base drums he loved his drums, it kept him with an upbeat heart and attitude. Jerry love for music wasn’t just the drums he also was a MC and love creating and sharing his craft and knowledge through songs creating with his group DTACC.

As much as he loved music, he was a master in the kitchen. His love of cooking was shared in so many ways leaving smiles on so many faces. With all the loves in his life, the thing he loved most was his family & friends.

Jerry reunited with the love of his life Rhea in 2009 and Married November 10, 2010, and since cherished and loved their union until he was called home.

On November 23, 2020, Jerry Lee Gibbs III fulfilled his purpose and was called home. He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife Rhea; children~ Kailey, Damaris, Joshua, Jeremiah; grandchildren~ Izaiah, Gabriel, & Ezekiel; His Mother~ Estelita Gibbs; siblings~ Quatez~Chaunta, Antonio~Brandi, Lawanda~Lavell, Leah, Samuel, Natausha~Oscar, & Tamekia; His Father In-Love~ Thomas~Charlean; many nieces and nephews (that he loved as if they were his own) a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
