Barbara Jean Fromwiller, 78, a lifelong resident of Lapeer/Otter Lake, died Monday, November 23, 2020. Barbara was born October 7, 1942 in Lapeer to Frank and Velma (Hofert) Goda. She graduated from Lapeer High School, class of 1960. Barb earned her associate’s degree in business administration. She worked for the Michigan Secretary of State for nearly 30 years, retiring in 2002. In her free time Barb was a passionate gardener and skilled at knitting. Everyone who met Barbara was taken with her sincere kindness – she always saw the best in people. Above all, Barb’s grandchildren were the apple of her eye – she made each grandchild feel special in their own way. Barbara is survived by her daughters: Cheri (James) Priest of Otter Lake and Cheryl (John II) Kile of Lapeer; four grandchildren: Joshua (Kaitlyn) Priest of Davison, Nicole Priest of Otter Lake, John Kile III of Lapeer and Lindsay Kile of Hawaii. Barb was preceded in death by her brothers: James Goda and Paul Goda; her dear grandmother, Martha Hofert; and her aforementioned parents. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Barb’s funeral service will be at 11AM Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 West Flint Street, Davison, MI 48423. Pastor Todd Frusti will officiate.
