<p>Born: Nes aad Amstel, The Netherlands July 29, 1930<br /> Passed Away: Sechelt, BC November 15, 2020<br /> <br /> Mary (Riet) passed away peacefully with family by her side, at Sechelt Hospital. Mary is mother to three children: Nanette (Mike), Alieda (Ruth), and Ed (Kelly); grandmother (&#39;Oma&#39;) to: Sheldon (Emily), Jason (Jamie), Christina (James), Laura (Sam), Melissa (Darcy), Allison (Matt), and Alanna; great-grandmother (&#39;Omee&#39;) to: Evelyn, Benjamin, Rowan, Sophie, Olivia and Benson. She is also survived by brothers: Evert and Ben (Annie) and nieces: Sandra (Michel) and Mirelle (Edgar). Mary is predeceased by her husband Peter, brothers Adriaan and Theo, and sister-in-law Hennie.<br /> <br /> Mary was a very proud Canadian but never lost her strong Dutch accent; Holland always held a very special place in her heart.<br /> <br /> Mary&#39;s family is so grateful for the kind and compassionate care she received at Christiansen Village over the past 11 years; to the staff - you are all angels! Sending virtual hugs to Dr. Sivakova and Dr. Belgraver for the wonderful care they provided to Mary.</p>

Mary (Riet) passed away peacefully with family by her side, at Sechelt Hospital.
