Minnie Alice Dibert Obituary

CUMBERLAND, MD—Minnie Alice Dibert, 93, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Cumberland Healthcare Center. Born September 21, 1927, in Flintstone, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Murphy) McCoy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford L. McCoy and Louis McCoy; and sister, Alma Kisamore. Ms. Dibert was a senior aide in the Department of Aging for the State of Maryland. She worked as a cook for the Rialto restaurant, the Queen City Hotel, and Shipway’s Motel and Restaurant. Minnie was a Methodist by faith. She was a past president of V.F.W. Oldtown Post # 9451 Auxiliary, and past president of Oldtown Fire Co. # 13 Auxiliary. Minnie was also a member of Post # 13 American Legion Auxiliary and member of 245 Eagles Auxiliary. Surviving are one son, William W. Dibert, Panama City, FL; two daughters, Barbara Ann Barb and husband Ray, Cumberland, and Gloria B. Costa, St. Michael’s, MD; two grandchildren, John “Jay,” Jr., and wife, Yvonne, and Glenn Robert and wife, Kathy, Jason, and Angela; great-grandchildren, Travis, Samantha Jo, Christa, Dave and girlfriend, Estee, Lydie and husband, John, John and girlfriend, Kate, and Tara and husband, Chris; great-great-grandchildren, David, Noah, Savannah, Ezra, Juliana, Colleen, Carus, Dominic, Brandon, Paxton, and Dustin. At her request, her body will be cremated and there will be no visitation. Graveside and inurnment services will be at Sunset Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at 1 p.m. with Shirley Reith officiating. Condolences may be left at www.ScarpelliFH.com.
