Carolyn Dianne Butler Hardeman

Mrs. Carolyn Dianne Butler Hardeman, age 70, of Laurel Creek Road, Vanceburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born September 11, 1950, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of Raymond Butler of Laurel, Kentucky, and the late Stella Edington Butler. Carolyn was a member of the Independent Church of Christ and she retired from St. Claire Regional Medical Center as a nurse after 25 years of service. She enjoyed walking in the creek looking for rocks and arrowheads, gardening, camping, going to the national parks and spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Butler; one infant brother; and one sister, Nancy Marylee Davis. In addition to her father, Carolyn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger Hardeman; three daughters, Jennifer Barker (Christopher) of Morehead, Kentucky, Michele Wolfe (David) and Leeanna (Hardeman) Bloomfield, all of Vanceburg, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Whitley Noble (Jason), Cody Wolfe (Kimberly), Haley Hisle (Jensen), Chelsea Barton (Tanner), Chase Barker, Caden Bloomfield, Lance Barker, and Eli Bloomfield; six great grandchildren, Kameron Horsley, Karson Horsley, Rylan Horsley, Tyler Noble, Tristan Wolfe, and Carter Noble; two brothers, George Butler and Duane Butler (Pamela), all of Vanceburg, Kentucky; and two sisters, Rita Stone of Vanceburg, Kentucky, and Christy Click of Galion, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. A private graveside service will held Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the Smith-Gilliam Cemetery on Laurel Creek Road, in Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Brother Hansel Butler and Brother Ronnie Enix officiating. Grandsons, Cody Wolfe, Chase Barker, Lance Barker, Caden Bloomfield, Eli Bloomfield, and grandson-in-law, Tanner Barton will serve as pallbearers. Due to COVID-19 regulations, we ask that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing. Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix, Kentucky, is caring for all arrangements for Mrs. Carolyn Dianne Butler Hardeman.
