<p>Reginald Lamont Butler, 93 of Mishawaka, and former long-time Elkhart resident, succumbed to COVID 19 on Tuesday, November 24. He leaves two daughters, Pat Jones of Barrow, Alaska and Donita Negron (Dave) of Niles, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Elsie (Robinson) Butler. Also preceding him in death are his three younger siblings: Hazel, Bob and Paul. Reggie was born on December 4, 1926 at Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor, Maine. He served in World War II as a ship welder in the US Navy. He worked at Whitehall Laboratories in Elkhart for 32 years, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed reading, camping, auto repair tinkering and watching his Cubbies, Chicago Cubs. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Elkhart. His extended family includes three grandchildren: Sean Lowry (Anne) of Constantine, MI, Lauren Boswell (Brent) of Kalamazoo, MI,&nbsp;and Joseph Zapata (Amanda) of San Tan Valley, AZ. Five great grandchildren are Kade, Jax, Charlotte, Mia. And Daniela. Due to the COVID pandemic and public safety, a memorial gathering is postponed. Arrangements are under the care of Goethals &amp; Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Care, Mishawaka.</p>
