Patsy Adams

Patsy Ann Hanvey Adams, 84, entered into eternal glory on Monday, November 23,2020 at Condor Health of Anderson. Patsy was the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth Hanvey born on Friday, July 30, 1936 in Anderson, South Carolina. Patsy graduated from Anderson Girls High School. She and her late husband, Herman “Marshall” Adams, raised a family of five children. Rickey, Charles (Becky), Dale (Joy), Lisa (Leo), and Bradley (Cindy). She was grandmother to Sheena (Kevin), Natasha (Jeff), Blake (Amanda), Jared (Hollie), Gracie, and Matthew. She was also the great grandmother to Bri, Fischer, Grayson, Emma, and Elizabeth. She is the sister of Jeral Crowe (Bill) and Albert Hanvey and sister-in-law to Juanita and Betty Hanvey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Marshall Hanvey, Linda Smith and Richard Hanvey. She knew that being home with her children was her calling. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She did not just raise her children, she babysat many children over the years for working parents. If you grew up anywhere near Orr Mill Hill, chances are you met Mrs. Patsy at some point in time. More than likely she gave you a cold popsicle on a hot day, or a glass of tea over conversation. Marshall and Patsy always had an open door and an empty seat at their table for family and friends. Patsy grew up a member of Middleton Road Baptist Church. She later went on to raise her own family at Orrville Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught in the nursery and served in the Women’s Ministry for over twenty years. In the last few years of her life she was a member at Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Worship Center. Patsy Ann Adams was a servant to her Lord and Savior, her family, friends, and strangers alike. Much gratitude to all of the staff that loved and cared for Patsy at Condor Health. After a special nurse quoted this scripture to Patsy she took her final breath and we know that the next thing she saw was her Savior, Jesus Christ. This scripture defines her life perfectly. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 2:00pm in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd.
