<p>Johnny Nanez, 77, of L Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on November 13, 2020, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Johnny was born on November 1, 1943, in Carlsbad, NM to Maria Fierro.</p> <p>Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services at this time. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.</p> <p>Johnny faithfully served in the US Army for two years. He was skilled in textiles, working for many years upholstering for clints. Johnny enjoyed going fishing, cooking delicious meals, listening to music, and martial arts. Johnny was a great teacher, and always took the time to share his knowledge and skills with others. Most of all, he loved spending time with family. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.</p> <p>Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Fierro; sister, Frances Nanez; and three brothers: Delores Muniz, Manuel Muniz, Mercedes Nanez and Raul Doporto</p> <p>Johnny is survived by his son, Johnny Raye Nanez of Melbourne Florida; daughter, Tamitha Nanez of Las Cruces New Mexico; son, Sammy Nanez of Guadalupe Arizona; grandchildren; niece, Adelina Nanez Aguilar of Carlsbad, NM; niece, Elvira Browneller of Carlsbad, NM; nephew, Manuel Muniz; great-nieces, Cheyenne Nelson and Apolonia Sanchez; and great-nephews: Noah Browneller and Matthew Browneller. Johnny Nanez, 77, of L Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on November 13, 2020, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Johnny was born on November 1, 1943, in Carlsbad, NM to Maria Fierro.
