<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Shirley Mae Miller, age 91, of Norman, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020.&nbsp; She was born July 2, 1929, in Norman, Oklahoma, to the late George Washington Miller and Gladys Ellen France Miller.&nbsp; Shirley was a long-standing member of Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was a very resourceful, Christian woman who taught herself to drive and taught herself to read by reading the daily mail.&nbsp; Shirley had a &lsquo;green hand&rsquo; and enjoyed working in her yard.&nbsp; She also enjoyed walking and was a good cook.&nbsp; Shirley had a silly sense of humor, loved to talk and never met a stranger.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She took great interest in the activities her children grandchildren participated in.&nbsp; They always had her whole-hearted support.&nbsp; A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be deeply missed.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Kenneth Miller; one brother, Forest Miller; and two sisters, Ann Bailey and Betty Beury.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Ann Hamilton of Oklahoma City, Roberta Godwin and her husband Melvin of Del City, and Kenna Pipes and her husband Trent of Oklahoma City; one son, Alan Miller and his wife Laurie of Palm Bay, Florida; one sister, Eleanor Miller and her husband Robert of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Chad Simpson and his wife Tomea, Zac Godwin, Chancie Schultz and her husband Brendan, Kelsey Pipes, Haley Pipes, Alex Miller, Kassidy Miller and Briana Godwin; and ten great grandchildren, Chelsea Simpson, Cayne Simpson, Kai Simpson, Kalob Simpson, Jaxon Godwin, Jayci Godwin, Bryley Godwin, Kinsley Godwin, Mayzie Schultz and Braylon Edwards.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Shirley Mae Miller, age 91, of Norman, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020.  She was born July 2, 1929, in Norman, Oklahoma, to the late George Washington Miller and Gladys Ellen France Miller.  Shirley was a long-standing member of Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman.

 

She was a very resourceful, Christian woman who taught herself to drive and taught herself to read by reading the daily mail.  Shirley had a ‘green hand’ and enjoyed working in her yard.  She also enjoyed walking and was a good cook.  Shirley had a silly sense of humor, loved to talk and never met a stranger.
