Pickens Mark Brian Pickens (Age 60) Mark Brian Pickens, 60, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2020 due to Alzheimer’s. Mark graduated from Rock Terrace School in 1981 and worked at the Naval National Medical Center until retirement in 2011. Mark enjoyed life and had worked as a paper boy for the Washington Star. Mark was involved with the Very Special Arts, MD and displayed in private shows at Glen Echo. Mark is predeceased by his parents late James J. Pickens, Jr. and Ruby P. Pickens. He is survived by his brother James J. Pickens, III "Jay” (Margaret); niece Lindsay M. Lalbachan (Clay); great nephew Conner and great niece Lily Lalbachan and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Graveside Service and Interment at Parklawn Memorial Park, 12800 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD, on Wednesday, November 25, at twelve noon. Masks and social distancing are required Memorial contributions in Mark’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or The ARC Montgomery County.
