Hubert F. Bradley, Jr., 79, of Creston, died Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Care Initiatives -Creston Specialty Care in Creston. A private, and limited guest invite, Celebration of Life Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston. The service will be live streamed - see link below. Fr. Adam Westphal will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, west of Creston. Open visitation will be from 2:00–7:00 p.m. Friday at Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Avenue in Creston. The family will not be present during visitation. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory with a 15 person limit during the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Malachy School, EveryStep Hospice - Creston, Care Initiatives - Creston. Online condolences can be given at www.powersfh.com. Hubert Francis Bradley, Jr., son of Hubert H. Bradley and Bernardine R. (Baker) Bradley, was born on October 7, 1941 in Union County, Iowa. He graduated from Lenox High School in 1960. He studied at Highland Junior College in Highland, Kansas. Hub then worked for the Highland Lumber Yard. On June 23, 1962, Hub married Betty Ruth Falk in Hiawatha, Kansas. They first settled and worked in Highland. Later, he sold machinery for North East Kansas Motors. In 1965, they moved to Kent, Iowa to farm. They moved into Creston in 1970. Hub sold feed for Moorman's and worked on the road doing construction. Hub then completed a Bachelor of Science Degree at Buena Vista College, thru Creston, and was an advocate of local mental health, addiction, and recovery programs. Most recently, Hub worked on all around construction projects. Hub was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Creston, and had been active with the Knights of Columbus. Hub enjoyed doing many of things but most importantly he enjoyed his time outdoors hunting and fishing, and spending time with family. Hub is survived by his wife, Betty of Creston. Hub's children include: 4 daughters, Christine Grant of Des Moines, Mary Lynn Donahue of San Diego, Ca., Barbara (Corey) Eaton of Frisco, Tx., and Fay (Jason) Parkins of Creston; 1 son, Robert (Teresa) Bradley of Pella; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Hub's siblings include 4 sisters, Theresa (Ken) Luce of Oakley, Ks., Anita (Paul) Longfellow of Lenox, Linda (Mike) Beaman of Johnston and Rose (Gary) Sucher of Blair, Ne.; 5 brothers, Tom (Debbie) Bradley of Lenox, Harry (Jorja) Bradley of Davenport, Donald (Sandy) Bradley of Kansas City, Mo., Patrick (Terri) Bradley of Warrensburg, Mo. and Michael (Vicky) Bradley of Osceola. Along with several in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends. Hub was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Vincent and Ruthanna Falk, along with a brother-in-law Harold Falk, a niece Annette Bradley, a sister-in-law Laurel (Borg) Bradley, a niece Stella (Falk) Christian, and a brother-in-law Henry Falk, along with other extended relatives.
