Scott Andrea Abernethy, known as “Scotty” to friends, 80, of Elgin, Oregon, passed away on November 16, 2020 due to pancreatic cancer.  He was born in Oakland, CA on January 26,, 1940. Scott was a Navy veteran, Pacific Northwest Bell/AT&T retiree, graduate of Marylhurst University and member of many local civic organizations including the Lions Club and Elgin EDGE.

He was preceded in death by parents Douglas and Anita Abernethy and brother Douglas “Matt” Abernethy. 

Survivors include sisters Nancy Fernandez and Bonnie Starkweather; ex-wife Elizabeth Abernethy; daughter Jennifer Abernethy; grandsons Christopher and Connor Thom.
