Harold Leon Harold L Phelps Sr. was born March 20, 1929 in Nashville, Tennessee. The years from July, 1930 until August 1942 he spent in Booneville, Tennessee. Duringtheseformativeyears heenteredandgraduatedfromBoonevilleElementary School. He received three other certificates or degrees from Meigs Junior High School, Nashville Christian Institute, and Agricultural and Industrial. He spent forty documented years teaching at the high school and college level. Harold leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 60 years, Ollie May Phelps; two sons Harold Phelps, Jr. of Nashville, and Jeffrey Alan Phelps of Atlanta; God daughter Sylvia Laird and her children Crystal Kee, Colya Billops, Treasure Garrett and Freddie Garrett; Nephews, other cousins, relatives and a host of special friends.
