Marcus "Marc" Stanley TAYLOR

<p>Marcus Stanley Taylor, of Port Alberni, BC passed away on November 15th, 2020, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56.</p> <p>Marc was raised in Port Alberni by Margaret and Stanley Taylor. During and after graduating from Alberni District Secondary School, Marc was recruited as Goaltender for the British Columbia Junior Hockey League. Marc tended goals for the Merritt Centennials (1981-83) and the Summerland Buckaroos (1983-84). Following BCJHL, Marc played for the Western International Hockey League for the Cranbrook Royals. Marc&rsquo;s hockey career later brought him to Sydney, Australia, playing in a Semi Professional League. He later returned back to BC, eventually settling back home in Port Alberni to raise his two children, Ryan and Lyndsey, who he loved dearly. Known for his love of all sports, Marc coached several local junior leagues over the years, and later graduated from North Island College. He loved and took pride in his job as the produce manager at Save On Foods.</p> <p>Marc spent his last years happily enjoying life with his family. He was often found traveling the world in search of exotic beaches, walking his &ldquo;grand-dog&rdquo;, Bane, around the Kitsukis Dyke&nbsp;trail, or watching Sunday football with his daughter.</p> <p>Marc will be remembered as a great friend and father, loved by so many in the community and around the world. Marcus Stanley Taylor, of Port Alberni, BC passed away on November 15th, 2020, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56.

Marc was raised in Port Alberni by Margaret and Stanley Taylor.
