Sarah Scobie

Sarah Scobie (nee Feeney) passed away in her home on the morning of Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the age of 91. Sarah was born to George and Elizabeth Feeney in Glasgow, Scotland on April 2, 1929. She married Jack Scobie and had three children, Jim, Marie and Jacqueline. After the passing of her husband, Sarah, immigrated to the U.S. with her three children in 1970 and settled in Evanston, Illinois. Sarah worked at Washington National Insurance Company, in Evanston. She was an employee of the company for twenty years. Sarah attended weekly mass faithfully at St.Nicholas and St. Mary’s, in Evanston. She was also a grandpartner volunteer at Cherry Preschool in Evanston. Sarah loved music, dance, football, but most importantly her family and her faith. She was a doting mother, mother in law, grandmother and aunt. Roles that she protected with great strength, passion and love. She was loved by many...she will always be remembered for her laughter and love of life. Sarah is survived by her three children, Jim (Judy), Marie (Matt) and Jacqueline (Mike) and three grandchildren, Jackson, Kailyn and Jessica. Due to Covid 19 restrictions the Funeral Mass will be private on Wednesday November 25, 2020 at St. Mary Church in Evanston . To view recorded video of Funeral Mass see below.
